I was fitting new glow plugs and a rocker cover gasket today on my Merc and while undoing an injector pipe on the injector pump the spanner slipped and I snapped off a plastic fuel pipe connector on the pump... :'( :'( :'(
Now I guess I can go to the scrappy and scrabble about till I find one, but I'm wondering if I can buy a new one and if so where from? Merc dealer? Diesel specialist? Motor factor? :-\ I think it's a Bosch injector pump, so I guess that I'd find the same connector in many different cars that use a Bosch pump, not necessarily a Merc..? :-\
The connector has Voss written on it and here's a couple of photos.

Any advice appreciated as always!! :y

I can't for the life of me recall their name, but there's a big Merc breaker in Southampton :y
Also, the main dealer in Poole/Bournemouth always had a reputation for stocking all sorts of rare/obselete/hardtocomeby/obscure new parts for pretty much any Merc since the sixties... worth an ask there :-\

I'd double check this (just to be sure) but this part no. looks the same 1287013003. on this site http://www.autocarspare.com/catalog/injection-valve/1287013003.html

You dont want to be going to a Merc dealer.........My C220 had a new pump fitted by a merc dealer.....they charged circa £700 just for the pump :o
Luckily i want paying the bill.....the RAC picked up the tab ;)

There's a pretty good breakers near Dorchester and I've checked, it is a Bosch pump so I'm sure that I'll find the same type of connector on Bosch pumps in many different cars.... Hopefully!! ::) I'll have to go and have a mooch about!! :-\
Jasonm: Thanks for the link, but it dosn't look like it to be honest. :-\
taxi al: As it happens I have to go to Christchurch tomorrow afternoon so I'll pop in if no joy at the scrappy!!
Taxi Driver: I bought a genuine Merc rocker cover gasket for £18 at the dealers, and a pattern one from the local factors was £15 so I was quite impressed, mind you if I was after a new ECU it might be a different story!! ::) :)

when i serviced my mates merc sports coupe the parts were cheaper at mercedes than they were at hellfrauds..... by a lot!

Whenever I've enquired after various part prices for prospective purchases Mercedes compare quite favourably :y
-
When I had a Merc about 3 years ago,I thought the price of genuine parts wasnt too bad tbh. Comparable with VX if not cheaper most of the time.

+1 generally found genuine Merc parts to be quite sensible, especially on older cars

Quick update!
I went to the scrappy but there was no joy to be had, so with a heavy heart I went to the Merc dealer and low and behold they had it!! I couldn't just buy the connector but had to buy the length of pipe with connectors at either end, but at £9.27 I wasn't complaining!!!! :y
