Title: Replacement Radio
Post by: steve6367 on 17 September 2012, 19:42:09
My CCR2006 CD player wont eject the CD cartridge and so I would like to replace it. I don't need tape, but would like to be able to play CD's.

Is something like this of any use?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251141566218?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649#ht_500wt_966 (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251141566218?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649#ht_500wt_966)

Is the lack of code solvable with Tech 2? Or should I be purchasing one with Code?

Will I still need Tech 2 to pair it to my display anyway?

Many thanks

Steve

Have you tried disassembling to remove it. http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/index.php?topic=90608.0
TechII not needed.
De-coding is available from DaveDND (member on here) for around £25

Thanks - I will give that a go if I get time, but was hoping for a quicker swapping solution as a little short on time.

I guess like everything in life there maybe no easy shortcut!

Just so I am clear - if I have the code for a new unit I don't need Tech 2? Or do I still need to pair with car / display even with code?

Thanks
