Title: Dual Mass Flywheel
Post by: zaf on 17 September 2012, 23:17:33
Hi Guys

I have a 2.5TD estate manual, I am going to get the clutch changed on my car and have been advised to change the DMF aswell.
I can't afford a new DMf and can't locate a second hand one. Does anyone know if any other Omegas have the same DMF as the 2.5TD?
And finally is it advisable to change the DMF, the car has done 142000 miles. Clutch is slipping but not hearing any knocking noises.

Thanks.

IF it's the same as the 3.2 one, buy genuine, rather than LUK, as they're considerably cheaper, £185 vs £400 :-\

Might also be worth trying BMW or Euro Car Parts :-\

If you really don't want new, Steve at Omegaspareparts might be able to help, or post a wanted add over in the trading area :y

No flies on Rob tonight ;D

Just one other thing is that sometimes when I'm driving and the car is in gear if take my foot of the accelerator and then press the accelerator again i get no response, it only responds when I press the clutch and release!!!

as rob says, if the dmf isn't broken .............. leave it  ;)

As for the other bit, has your car got cruise control fitted ?
