Looks like it had dropped the back cylinder on the bank nearest the camera at the end of the run too.

yes that's not firing exploding like the other cylinders at all is it. :o ;D
Especially noticeable is the shape of tyre just before it crosses the line, it's flapping around all over the place. And the aero foils(?) whispping off the wing. :y
I used to have a theory that the tyre ripples where what caused chatter in bikes on the brakes. A reverse and far less obvious effect than shown here obviously. But apparently there's a bit more to it than that. If its even that at all ;D

Now that's what I call a clutch..
I just looked up the driver - he's a record holding ski jumper! Bit of a difference, although having stood and looked at a ski jump, just as crazy.

They broke one or more pistons, local magazine just had an article as one of the journalists was one of the mechanics in that race. Will try to re-read the article and translate some key notes.

You know your engine is highly tuned when it doesn't even last a quarter of a mile between rebuilds. ;D
