is it easy to take the plenum off, anything i should know specifically or just straight forward.
-
See the cam cover guides, that covers it, although you lack egr and icv, but do have a vac pipe into throttle body (hidden), and electrical connector into throttle body
-
Fiddly, but straight forward.
Don't forget the drive by wire plug under throttle body and the small vac pipe to fuel pressure regulator.
Fiddly bit is multi ram connector at rear. Remove all else, and plenum bolts. Move plenum forward a couple of inches, then remove vac pipe and electrical plug to multi ram.
On re fitting be sure that the plenum seats correctly with all seals seated correctly on its pugs with nothing trapped.
Re fit DBW plug or you'll have no throttle.
What's the issue though...? :)

What's the issue though...? :)
I may be confusing with another, but think it might be the one with a non reading temp gauge... and OP Wants to check the spade connector on the bridge... :y

Possible with scuttle removed

I would help but I have zero tools here :(

I hate removing scuttles. I'd rather whip the plenum off ;D

Ah, so the manifold out challenge too then.

For inexperienced, less chance of 'issues' doing scuttle instead

well the temp gauge stopped. so mech came around and checked out the fuses all that seemed fined, so without actually knowing if the sensor at fault or not we decided to change the sensor because the part is cheap, but the work was quite a bit, my mech did not take off the plenum and he did change the part, my mech took out the window wiper motor and a few other bits but nothing too major, but even after this change the gauge does not work, so i think the dash cluster must come out. im not afraid to do things myself but looking at it under the bonnet i dont know where to start. so i will go back to it after hopefully it passes the mot tomorrow.

Agree with tunnie on this :y
It takes 15 minutes to pull the plenum off ;)
