Title: brake fluid

Hi all. has it got to gm brake fluid for my mig or is there a good alternative? i'm planing to change mine, I believe 1ltr will do the job. tia mel.

dot 4 mate. Not sure if brake fluid is on tc or not. I'd personally buy more than one litre just in case

DOT 4 or DOT 5.1 (not DOT 5!) - Motul RBF600 is good stuff, just depends how much you want to spend on it really..

Yep DOT5 is synthetic Silicone Brake Fluid - not compatible with the rubber seals in Omegas

and make sure you keep an eye on the level as yo  do it. You dont want to run the master cylinder dry :-)

Any DOT4 is suitable for the Omega. If you use it for track days, or really hammer it hard, DOT5.1 may be beneficial, though is expensive normally.

Personally I buy a couple of the smallest 250ml ones on TC, rather than a larger one, as once its opened, its pretty much junk.
