hello, 2.6 v6. it has been suggested that maybe my temp gauge sensor wire is adrift, after much kerfuffle and the wrong sensor being changed today that perhaps i need to check the correct sensor is properly wired, ive had a feel in the area and i cant feel which wire to play with, is it possible to re check wire connection with the plenum on or does it need to come off anyway just to re fit the wire, if so i might as well have the sensor replaced too, again. the right one this time though. thanks

You can check by feel, just about with the scuttle removed.
Also you do not need to keep creating new threads, just reply to same one you had going before :y

ok thanks. ive tried to feel it but 1) i dont know what im feeling for and 2) ive felt all there is for me to feel in that area so I think i give that idea up, im afraid the plenum is coming off and then i might as well have the part replaced. im going to watch him do it bit by bit so if i ever need to take it off again then i be more happy to do it myself. thanks for all the help of all the good people here.

Take the plenum and fuel rail off and do the check properly.Fair chance the cable it is not connected so will be the only way to find out properly.
If it isn,t connected you will be able to put it on properly :y
If it is connected :o you can atleast check if a New sensor has been fitted by your mechanic ;)
