Ok guys coming to uk to try to sort my fathers death wish out,(86 and fed up staring at 4 walls cos he wont go out)  to pay for the trip I have bought a cheap range rover diesel :'(with bmw lump and manual box :y) on ebay which i have sold at a profit here!! yay,
but what gear for travelling through blasted french territory do you need? is that stupid breathalyser thing in yet? if so where do i buy it??
do i need two triangles and emergency kit?
is haford still doing the proffessional kit cheap? cant fly to uk carrying tools to get it back here!!
any help or suggestions welcomed!!

Hmm, where is that ferry website, bloody france should be pigging well terminated!

Have a good journey. Hope you get things resolved at the UK end.  :y This thing with remote elderly parents isn't at all easy.

Brittany Ferries are hit by strike action. Some sailings from Portsmouth have been cancelled. The Spanish sailing has been cancelled indefinitely. Maybe winding up that route? It gets really rough in winter in the Bay of Biscay anyway!!
