Title: Camera question,
Post by: alfie on 23 September 2012, 10:41:11
Hi all,Just wondering if anybody knows if,a Nikon 35 mm slr lens (various lens sizes) is compatable with a digital Nikon camera body.
just asking because I,m sorting out the clutter in the attic, theres lots of stuff that might be worth sticking on ebay.

i doubt they would fit, i think Nikon changed the lens mount when they started to produce auto focus lenses for D series cameras. Might be worth getting in touch with a Nikon dealer & see if they are interested

Cheers razzo,I,ll do that tomorrow, the lense,s are auto focus, mint hardly used. the body is a 401.It seem's a shame just to forget about them again.I spend a lot of money on these years ago, just one of my fads that didn't last very long.

All lenses, except invasive fish eye and AI are compatible physically, but only some digital models will operate the lens settings. What wil operate what depends on the camera

This article is as good as it gets explaining Nikon lens compatibility:
