Hello again :)
My FL 2,2 need's some upgrade in the front, as it's like driving a ferry in a storm..all over the place :P
It's wery soft in the front end. Resting on a set of KYB shocks, it's nowhere like my other Omegas. V6 they have been...
My ex has an 2,5td PFL that sits low, nearly 2 cm lower than my FL 4pot, and has a set of 2 year old Bilstein B4's on it.
It's quite a diffrent feel and firmnes on that one compared to mine. AND, it's a breaker 8) (all parts free)
If I take the struts complitly from that car over to mine, will there be much lift compared to the loss of weight of the td?
Have done my research, and the springs on the TD is the same of an 3.0V6, and I want the thicker TD/V6 springs :)
Has enyone tryed this combination????

Not something I've dealt with on TD boat anchor, but that engine is considerably heavier, I'd expect the front of the 4pot to sit higher with TD suspension fitted.
It's something to be carefull of, as not all web sites and manufacturers list suspension to the engine correctly. Very easy to get the wrong ones.
So IMO, no. Get Desmond springs. :)
B4 ... Check the Bilstein listings, but you'd be more likely to get away with those as a total guess.

Not much weight difference between the 4 pot and V6 so if the springs are the same as those used on the 3.0 then it should be ok.

But the opel partnumber states that it is the same number on the springs for the v6 and TD, 90509079.
So the summary will be : a little higher than the TD, but lower than my 4 pot FL...
Will go on with the change on sunday, if the weather allows it :-\
