Title: A very good start to the day.
Post by: 2boxerdogs on 27 September 2012, 10:45:27
Had my 2001 2.6 CDX booked in for its MOT this morning at 08.30, took it back again to where I bought it from almost 2 years ago ,main dealer who supplied it new to its first owner had 50,000 miles with full history when I bought it now has 71,500 on the clock.Waited in the showroom whilst awaiting the result ,a straight pass with no advisories, as  i now will only do about 6,000 miles a year in it my only decision is at the end of 2014 it will need a new set of tyres & the timing belt replaced, do I spend that amount on a 13 year old car which is really not worth a lot or buy something sensible ? The only thing is I really love the car  which is spotless & is without doubt the nicest driving car I have ever had ( mercs & jags included)

Keep it .
It won't be worth much less in two years time so if it is as good a car as you say  enjoy it until then and then sell it on .

That's already crossed my mind!! It is only now going to be used in fine weather because I bought a Hyundai Terracan back in July to tow the caravan with so the mig is really the toy now, I did almost sell it to a colleague at work but he changed his mind, & so did I & I am glad because I know I would have regretted it.
