Title: How Much Will It Cost
Post by: megaelite on 28 September 2012, 15:27:05
My 3.0(2000-w) omega has aquired some faults :(, nothing to major but im after prices to rectiy it,
it needs
front pads(poss discs aswell)
rear handbrake adjustment(only just holds)
oil cooler(i think), there appears to be a little bit of oil mxing with the coolant in the header tank,
although the engine still purrs with no power loss or miss-fire what so ever, so how much for the bits to put it right :y

Pads, £15 on TC. Pads and Discs, £100 on TC. Easy job.
Adjustments - see the Handbrake Guide in Maintenence Guides. Easy-ish job.
Oil Cooler, about £130, plus another £30ish for ancillaries. Easy-ish job, but needs some tools you may not have.

Fill in your profile details of where you live. There are some members here that are mobile & might be able to help ............. and they'll know what they're doing, it can't be questionable whether other 'experts' do.  ;) :y

The Master did mine. However, I think he was a bit off colour that day, as it took him almost two hours.....including the oil change.  ::) ::) ::) ;)

The liquor stinking slosh had probably been on the sherry the night before. He always leads me astray at OOF meets.

As well as payment of the folding kind, I also rewarded Mark's expertise with a large bottle of Glenlivet. I feel sure that he shared a wee dram with all his good friends at the next OOF meet. ::) ::) ::) ;)

Thanks, Robert. I'll bear that in mind. :y

I usually head in the other direction when in need of Vauxhall parts and service. Twells of Billinghay are pretty good. :y
