Title: 2000 Elite Est 2.5 TD Auto - Back from the dead
Post by: 2000elite on 28 September 2012, 19:36:50
My 2.5TD Auto Elite has been given a clean bill of health with a fresh MOT. Only needed 2 drop links and the hand brake adjusting (it's an auto, it's never used).  It's got 198,000 miles on the clock.  I was going to scrap it but I thought I'd give her a chance and she didn't let me down.

Is there anyone else on this forum with a diesel auto elite? According to that stupid website it's the only one left.

198k on the original gearbox?  :o

Was it ever upgraded to the AR35?

I'm pretty sure Bootie has one too.

When I bought it the seller said the gearbox had been rebuilt.

How can you tell the difference between the two models of gearbox anyway?

I got one, same year, in a dark green pearlescent and on an Opel badge. According to that web site, mine dont exist at all!!! Still not put it all back together after its repaint. No time with work at the moment, nearly there though.
