Title: Maps on CID
Post by: doz on 01 October 2012, 18:21:45
Does the colour display use a different disc to GID when using the Sat Nav? When I select map view it just comes up blank. Everything else seems to work ok.

Yep. With a little box top left which I guess is for switching between pictograms or maps. Screen is working fine in all other ways

Poo. Yep I only put the one plug in the back of the screen. Didn't see second plug. Will I need to find one a lead now or is it hidden down the dash some where? I had the Sat Nav in the car originally but with a GID. I just swapped the head and screen but the head unit was a like for like swap.

Yep, normally taped to the loom coming from the main plug at rear of display

Very early facelifts lack the RGB loom if it didn't come with a GID. Later ones, its tucked behind the webbing behind where the screen goes, normally some foam around plug, and masking tape around that.

Mines an X plate which came fitted new with a 2013 and GID. I'm guessing I'm in luck with that cable

Oh one more question. I take it I don't have to remove the stereo cage and plug this cable in that end as well?
