I am hopefully acquiring a NCDC 2013 & CID soon, coming out of a (02) 2002 2.6 MV6 and going into a (51) 2002 2.6 MV6 to replace a CCR2006 and MID.
I am aware its not standard or option fit in the MV6 so its been retro fitted into the car and loom modifications required. It will also need De-Bose'ing as I don't have the Bose equipment to go with it at the moment.
I am in need of an expert to fit this for me please, what are my options being in Leeds.
Cheers ;)

Your not kidding, I am willing to do it if your up for it. Been after a CID for ages at a reasonable price. If you don't / can't do it that's fine, I just don't know anyone else who can do this for me.

Easily done.
I went to collect SWMBO's Auntie from Edinburgh last Christmas. Set off at 0700-ish, got there 4 hours later, had a brew & a butty & set off home again with said Auntie. Arrived home in time for tea. c200 miles each way. Dead easy in a big car. ;) ;)

You got a phone in the car?

Can you solder?

Sorry, I ment the GPS aerial is coming with the setup from Brikhead. Not installed in the car. Sorry for the confusion
-
OK, I'm assuming you can run the cables - easy enough, just fiddly in places. The soldering is fairly trivial, if you can get a ISO36 to ISO36 loom (trafficmaster one is ideal).
Reckon you can do it with a bit of guidance?
-
Are you serious I ain't got a clue. LOL. I can't even take a door card off without something snapping.

I have a TM loom, think I mentioned it here...

Thanks Brikhead :y

Ok, so I'm no closer to having a solution here, I would love to be able to do this on my own even with guidance from the forum etc but the truth is I don't have the skill sets to do this properly and I also don't have access to a Tech2.. :-[

What do you need a Tech2 for ?

What do you need a Tech2 for ?
The stereo I'm selling is currently running in Bose mode, 'richardirv' just wants the screen and stereo in his Mv6, he isn't adding the full set-up...

I thought it was from an MV6 for some reason :-[

It is but from what I believe the MV6 had been retro fitted with the Bose set up
-
So why isnt the OP fitting the Bose setup or have I missed something ? ???

I think the Bose bits and bobs have already been sold leaving just the head unit and CID ;)
-
In which case,a wanted ad might solve the problem. :-X :D
Tbh,imo it seems a bit pointless installing the headunit, satnav etc.and then not bothering with the Bose. :-\

Disagree completely ! Adding the NCDxxx head unit wll give a significant navigation upgrade and is well worth doing, and not going for BOSE means you can end up with some decent 21st century sounds.
::) :P :-X
-
Thanks for filling in the gaps there Pete! I do think most of the relevant information was on my 1st post though ;)
I would love the Bose setup adding but I don't have it so I can't install it.
Just getting just the CID and 2013 installed seems like a ball buster at the moment though never mind the Bose setup too.. :-[
As for putting a wanted ad. I kinda thought this was, maybe not in the relevant forum area but I don't think it really matters were I put it does it? I will gladly do so If it would help me out ???

Like I said, Rich.
It's who you know that counts, not what.
And I am sorry you missed out but I did offer you the chance to secure the item even after the other party had expressed an interest.

Yep fairly sure thats His old one Rick, Nick was a member on here for a while, NickA from memory, first did a CID and Bose for his 3.0 MV6 Estate and then did the same to his later 2.6 MV6 Silver Saloon.
Also the same guy that wrote the guide that RobG refers to-

Not that it makes any difference to this thread, was just interested in a MV6 getting Bose. :y

I know fella, like I said, no fault of yours. If I had more skills in this field I would of just taken it but I don't.

Sorry I was unable to commit to fitting. Some days, my back is good, some days its not. I cannot risk someone coming considerable distance on the offchance that I would be capable on a given day. Or worse, feel in a situation that I am compelled to fit it due to the distances involve, and risk further pain/damage.
-
No worries ;)
-
This thread will come in handy for fitting the satnav, just a quick one, is the BOSE the speakers in the rear shelf or in the doors?
I'm clueless about the loom?
-
Front doors, rear doors and shelf. 6 of them in total :y
