Nice.
Now it needs a 2.3 crossmember/engine mounts/rack/exhausts and a 2.9 from a Scorpio.
Which is fun in a Capri, and sneaky in a Cortina.

Used to drive one just like that one,it was a company car (british steel) It wasn't until it's MOT came due it failed because the front and rear number plates were different. No one noticed that for 3 years,
Alfie.

Very nice Guy......Always liked the shape of the Mk3....... :y :y
I liked the Idea of dropping a V6 into it, we did this with a couple of MK2's many moons ago, leave the original diff in and a great 'sleeper'..... :D :D
What you doing with the Triumph?
-
We had a Mk3 2 Lit GXL as a pool car many years ago (also in Daytona yellow). Not a bad motor to drive but not a patch on my 3 lit Mk1 Ghia Granada (a company car)
-
:y
I had one a kind of reddish orange colour.

That was rust Turk.most of them were that colour after a couple of years. :y :D

I loved my old cortina, Mk3 2000E (so flat dash model and the square/oval headlights). Best cortina shape the Mk3's
-
i had a 2 door mk3
went well in 2 heats and won the destruction derby in it.
-
Mine went well too !, had a stage 3 head, kent cam, twin choke weber and K&N. great cars
-
I had a 4 year old beige 2.0GL mark 5. Turned out it was full of rust-got written off by a lorry outside the house-replaced it with a Granada 2.8Ghia auto.

Tho' in all fairness to it, from what I recall, mine was pretty good.

thats a nice Cortina, always liked the Mk3, but have a real hankering for a Mk1 as we had one as a family car in the late 70's early 80's and I have fond memories of it.
