So call me Dave thinks it time to allow us to batter a burglar.
bout bloody time.
At least when it happens I won't have to say to the counstable "I was practiceing my baseball swing" ;)
-
They have said it for years and any change in the current law could not even be considered before the next elections. No parliamentary time is available or been allocated to implement such changes to law. The current law should be adequated to deal with this subject in a proper manner, i.e burgulars etc entering your home illegally can be dealt with appropriately. Shot if you legally own a gun or rendered ineffective by other means, knife or bat. It is up the the police to be sensible and protect the victims not just go for an easy arrest.
Another party conference crossing Bulldogs and Shitsu's to come out with the predictable result. ;D ;D ;D

It will be a sensible change to the old laws.
My hair however stood on end when the headline read " give up your rights as you cross the threshold. " Vote winner.
So in years to come the courts will be tied up with trials of householders who "tied up and tortured burglars before clubbing them senseless".

:D :D think ill just shoot em its quicker :y :y :y
-
Poor burglars... :-D

About time :)

There are implications. If the burglars know householders can use more force they'll come more armed. Nothing is ever clear cut & will usually be down to the CPS & if any further a jury. This could also open avenues to those who have a grudge, invite somone round in the early hours & batter them saying you thought they were an intruder. Could also come to nothing but a party trying to curry favour with voters. I hope we get more rights to protect ourselves & our hard earned property from the never worked in their sad lives junkies but i think not much will change, most of us would do what we had to do regardless & always would have done. I've never had to but i imagine 18 stone of buck naked angry Guy moving surprisingly fast would'nt be particularly inviting!!! Tony Martin, or the more recent case at Melton Mowbray, right or wrong, over reacting? Who can say for sure? All i know is when you whittle it all down you're left with one answer....
If the dirty robbing dole claiming junkie little bastards had'nt been there in the first place there would be no case to answer so it's a bit late to start running to Mummy for a plaster when you get your just desserts. Hospital followed by a spell at her Majestys pleasure sounds good to me.

Its still tosh, its still not clear.
Its changing from "Reasonable Force" to "Not Grossly disproportionate"
So still clear as mud. Can I shoot the scrots in the gonads?
-
Its a conference soundbite to give the Mail a good headline tomorrow, nothing more than that imo. ;)

Because we have bred a generation of 'tards who are guided by what the media says. Which is why every politician what's Tunnie's Uncle R to take them up the council.
Makes me just a tad angry, as you can probably guess...

Vote UKIP then. ;)

Vote UKIP then. ;)
And Farage will close all media outlets, and shoot the lazy scum who take it all in and believe it as fact?
Nah, thought not.

Just spend an hour on youtube (yes,I know) watching his speeches and then report back on what bits you disagree with. :y
-
You think we should continue just as we are ? :o
This post just became useless as cheeky admin removed his previous one. ::) ;D

Most of them pretend to talk sense in controlled environments ;)
Policy has little to do with speeches, IMHO

Conviction, belief and passion are rare but important commodities and Nige has them in spades. :y

In answer to your first, I think UKIP are going the wrong way.
Post deleted, as I try not to talk politics with friends. I tend to keep them that way.

Trouble is, I think he is a fan of the "New Labour" style media knob jockeying as well (but no better/worse than the other 3)
