At least with the V6 there's a little more room under there.
That picture's made me think just how much room there is under the Monaro's bonnet :y

Why have some folks got Mama Mia as a signature picture  ::)

Yes it does look a tight fit on the v8 install , maybe the only real headache would be making the exhaust manifolds fit  :-\ lovely beast though .

Real headache with that project was finding a steering rack to fit, as the steering box had to come out to make room for the wider than Ls over head cam lump.
With steering box put there's plenty of room for headers.
They paid a fair amount of attention to dif temp as well, with that sort of bhp. Mama Mia indeed.  :o

Seems to run through in the exact same position as the centre tie rod.

Still looks shoe horned in  :D Im guessing all this trying to fit a v8 is done by precise measurements before even trying to swing a v8 lump in with a hoist and hoping it will fit , and headers already on the engine before fitting in the engine bay  :-\

You may have seen this video , think its the monaro engine  :-\ V8 Omega (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t2SBd3cHCNM) Always amazes me how many conversions have been done but most seem to be from overseas  :)

Seems the easiest way , then chalk up some new engine mounts while underneath the v8  :o ;D
