I think it's an absolute joke and devalues the Nobel peace prize!  >:(  If they can't think of anyone to give it to, then they shouldn't bother IMO!!  :-\

For promoting peace in Europe for sixty years.

ERR what about the Balkans. All those thousands that died and millions had their lives altered forever.

What a joke. The only saving grace is that their are a whole load of countries that it could have been given to that are worse cases.

Beyond understanding .................but just think of all those sanctimonious officials who will have a wonderful long expenses paid  lunch today patting each other on the backs .

Joke is on the Nobel committee, like it was giving Obummer, this for winning an election. As he has been very peaceful, in Iraq, Afghanistan and Libya and also in Pakistan over the execution of Bin-Liner and numerous drone attacks.  ::) ::) ::) ::)

Maybe it is likewise a preemptive award, so we can expect some of the same in Europe.  ??? ??? ??? ???

I think in Spain and Greece what is likely to happen in the next 12 months is best described by a 10cc record: "Load up, load up those rubber bullets". Spain apparently has been making record purchases of these, all in the name of peace and national harmony of course.  :o :o :o :o :o

Sounds like the Nobel Peace Committee is made up of left wing trolls trying to goad the right.  ;D ;D ;D ;D
