Title: Fault code 1700

Hi Guys,
       All last week, start up lhm light stays on. switch off, restart and lhm light goes out, all ok. Same procedure every morning.Yesterday and today was taking more and more attempts before light went out. Now it stays on every attempt, Getting 1700 and 0300 codes. Could this be just a misfire which is telling the gearbox to limp home, or something gearbox related like atf level/change. Where do I start looking? and right now feel like scrapping the thing anyway. :(

P0300 - Multiple cylinder miss fires - normally a sign of a failing coil pack

P1700 - Service Vehicle Soon Request from Transmission Control Module - firstly check gearbox atf level and condition

Wow that's extreme. Please remember any car you drive is going to play up in some way or another. Thing is you will find it hard to get better help than you get on here with mig's

Small jobs replacing coil pack and checking atf. Many on here will do it for you at a very reasonable rate if you are not capable. If you can use a spanner and a screwdriver there will be a guide/expert to help you do it.
