Lee here....
When looking at the front of the engine, on the passenger side, attached to the radiator housing, there is a small water pump....
Doesn't seem to do anything, and when tested with a volt meter only reads 0.3 volt
any ideas and/or suggestions as to what it should read, or what to do is much appreciated

It is there to run AFTER the engine is switched off, if the engine is hot .. thus preventing heatsoak and localised overheating of components within the engine.
Not sure exactly how to test it, but I've put my hand on it at the end of a longish tow in summer and have felt it running .. if that makes any sense at all !!

Thanks entwood Phil is actually on the phone with me now, he says there are 2 of these one on each side, and he can tell the drivers side one works and shows 12 volts

The one on the drivers side is different .. it is designed to run if you turn the heating on with the engine hot but switched off.... it will circulate coolant through the heater matrix .... I think its called the "winter pack" ....
