The pertinent paragraph reads.


It is, naturally, regrettable to learn that you have had the need to approach VOSA to investigate the standards of MOT. As a gesture of goodwill, please find enclosed a cheque for £34.95 to reimburse you for the MOT you subsequently had to have at an independent dealership.

I had a girlfriend with  similar pubes in 1977. The full bush was the in thing way back then. :)
