Hi everyone!
Once again I'm looking for a really cheap Omega. Anything would do as long as it can get me from A to B. The most important thing is that it is cheap as I'm not working due to poor health.
I'm moving to a different area of London where parking is available. Hoorah!
I'm willing to say pretty please and beg etc!!
I don't mind if it has been crashed as long as it moves and the Police don't stop me! ha ha!
Thanks very much in advance.

Hi Kate,
How cheap? lol ;D
I have a 2002 52 2.6 V6 CDX 84K, in silver for sale if you are interested. Has 5 months tax and MOT until 21st December 2012, but needs a replacement front bumper. The top is all fine and intact its mainly the bottom and grille inserts that are broken. It was like it when I bought the car off ebay. PM me if you are interested and I can send you some pictures.
The car is off the road and not being used at the mo and is looking for a new home ;) :y
Thanks
Paul

Has anyone got an Omega to hire out while I save up?
Is that legal for insurance etc?

One of the questions they ask is if the insured is the owner and registered keeper, so if you are asked that question you'll have to tell them you're hiring (which will no doubt bump the premium up).

I guess it would be too expensive then.

All depends on your chosen insurance company I guess, why not ask them?

Make and Model will do.

If someone is willing to loan you a miggy they must trust you.... so buy it for 10p and register it in your name... no insurance issues then .... when you need to give it back, sell it back for the same 10p ...... :)
All this does is put 2 more owners on the record, which for a car costing less than a grand will make no difference whatsoever.
seemples :)

Yes that is an excellent idea. It's a shame I don't know all the oofers a bit better!
I think I'll have to look for a different type of car as cheap Omegas don't exist anymore. Something like a Daewoo Laganza!! :-[

Plenty around but you need to define your financial parameters :)
-
Several on here sub-£1000 ... I guess it depends what you call "cheap" ...
and autotrader gives several sub-£500 and many more sub-£1000
and thats without going down the bay of fleas .. which is IMHO a very dodgy place to buy a car from unless you know a great deal about how to check one.....
HTH :)

Kate,
PM replied, whats your budget?
I need my car sold tbh as it's just sitting on the drive doing nothing which is a huge shame :-[

I've only got 350 unfortunately. :'( :'( :'(

If you buy an omega for £350 you will be buying a shed that will eat money. Buy a small runaround and save yourself a lot of grief.

Not true in my case Got mine for just over £200 with 6 months tax 3 years or so ago "2002" car still going strong no major problems, But there are some real bad people out there selling all kinds of troublesome cars unfortunately :-\

My last Omega was 200 and I really loved her. I had to sell due to moving to a 'car free development' in central London.
