Hunted high and low and can't find the thing anywhere. The MOT isn't due for a while but I can't remember ecxactly when. Is there a way I can find out from a website? I bought the car with MOT on it so don't know the garage name or number offhand.

You'll need your V5 & Reg Number and this website: https://www.gov.uk/check-mot-status-vehicle

:D If you did know where it was tested last just go there and ask...they have digital records now.
If it is out then the plod will soon let you know when you get ANPR'd....Here's hoping you don't.
Do you insure your motor at the same time......many do. When you tax it that is on record too.
In future photocopy it...I do and record it in the service history book.
With luck your local dealership, give them your reg, will have it on record cos they send me reminders when mine is due even though I don't use them.
Best I can do...... :y

From the above, you should be able to view MOT history, then the last tester ref number, and get a copy from them.

I travelled around 130 miles to buy the car, so going to the garage that mot'd it is out ;D,
As said it has quite a while to go, just can't remember how long! :D and obviously don't want the boys in blue pulling me. So just wondered if there was an easy way to figure out exactly when it runs out.

Your local MOT centre will be able to print out a new copy of the MOT :y

Cheers. Will do. And no doubt 5mins after I return with the new one, I'll find the original! :)

Over here we have to 'display' the MOT disc (which is like the tax disc) on the windscreen, and comes as a detachable part of the MOT certificate itself.
Plod don't like it when it's not displayed ....... :-X
