Changed the Omega 6 weeks ago,
First week had cam covers done and oil and coolant changed, pads and front discs. Then a couple of weeks later had a misfire problem, new plugs, leads and 2 dispacks! running lovely, now........... bloody manifold gasket. :'(
Whats next.............
-
Mid way through doing mine mate, turning into a bit of a pig of a job. You sure it is not the downpipe to manifold seal?

TBH I wouldn't know, I got Kwik Fit to stick it on their ramp, they reckoned it was the gasket.

I would say its the rubber pipe connecting the SAI to the manifold ;)

Which is............?

Secondary Air Injection :y
I think there's some pics amongst the guides somewhere ......

Definitely check your SAI pipe before deciding it's the gasket, then replacing it, like I did, like a dweeb! That wasn't pleasant!

as to what's next..... ?? got to be a crank sensor shortly i'd have thought...... they're almost considered a "consumable" on the omega....

Please, everyone, stop giving Kwick fitup business. No really.
...and if you do go there, don't believe a bloody word they say.
Although having said that, it might be the manifold gasket. It could be other things as well though, so check those first, and cirtainly don't let them do the work.
Pm Daz if your not diy'ing.
