Hi all....meet the latest........
Needs a bit of loving from me, but not bad really. Gonna get a new belt fitted just in case, and
my family mechanic is going to give it the going over and fix anything that needs fixing at the same time ;) Seems to drive nice :y
Just hoping that I won't regret getting the light leather and trim. It will probably only do about 3k per year so should not get too dirty.
Got 70k on the clock with fsh....interesting to note...40k service at Vauxhalls, was 'Belt checked' but not 'Belt replaced' :o

Let me know if you need a hand with the cambelt
-
Thanks Jamie :y Most appreciated
As things stand, Robin (s-i-l) is having it in the company garage to do everything. If it goes pear shaped, i'll let you know :y
-
Nice car same interior as mine better than black in the summer, ;D how much did you give if you don't mind me asking :)

If he needs to borrow a GM V6 locking kit (not possible without), send him round
-
Very nice addition to the family :y :y
-
I assume they have the locking kit, Jamie......I've just had a belt in the 2.5, I assume again, that that needed a locking kit too.
They have a bloke that works there who is a V6 man :y
But I will make enquiries, and thanks for the offer :y

I forgot to say....its a 2001 2.6 Elite Estate (but you knew that, didn't you) ;D ;D ;D

Yep... ;D

Looks very nice Tony :y - mind you i like the blue one too :y
Would be interesting to know if it feels livelier than your 2.5?
-
I have to say, it felt very lively, quite suprising as its only a tad bigger than the 2.5 (blue one). I was pinging around MK and M40 yesterday, and I was pleasantly suprised :y When you asked the question, you got a straight answer :y

Good stuff, thanks for letting me know :y

Love that interior .......& the car is sweet too . :y

looks tidy :y

Checked the paintwork...and the scuffs all polished out...decided to give the upholstery a once over with EGR detergent I found in the garage, and its come up like showroom. Really chuffed to bits :y :y :y
Oh...I love this car ;D ;D ;D
-
Nice, I'm envious ! :y

I've just gone the other way, from 2002 2.6 to a 2000 2.5, and the 2.5 is certainly less lively.

Cracking car you have there pal. Always liked that colour, bet it's lovely to drive :y
-
Immaculate ! :y
-
Does look nice indeed!
I think that trying to keep all that cream clean would drive me nuts!
But I do like it! :y
Great colour outside too! :y :y :y

You are right there mate.....went to Banbury, swmbo got back in and bought half the car park with her. Really showed up bad....its like a hoover out after each trip ;D ;D
Thinking did I do right ;D
-
Long term it might pay to swap the cream plastic lower panels for black, as they seem to keep clean for longer. Carpets are also easy enough to change, but actually, if proper mats are fitted, then the carpets stay fairly tidy :y

Lovely car mate, with the same interior as mine :y
