So, I'm now on my 3rd Omega.
My last one had a major oil leak (See Old + New Topic) Radiator & cooling system full of oil.
Found this 2000 X 2.5 Elite. 83K, Spot the bash on the rear bumper ! Needed some minor suspension/steering work. Sending audio unit to Dave DND for attention. If I get 40k out of it I'll be happy.
Why don't they make seriously big estate cars like this any more ?

I do like the estates, if I never got the spec I wanted on mine I'd have had an estate for sure :)

Hmm, those pictures aren't right. Edges have been cropped

Maybe these will be better

Well happy so far. I suspect tracking is out, shudder sometimes, bit of a pull to the left.
Not done a long drive yet.
Really very very different drive to my previous two. Much heavier, less responsive, more "sedate". Was there some big change between the 2000 2.5 Elite and the 2002 2.6 CDX ?

Elite has more kit than the CDX, so is therefore heavier... also elite has softer suspension setup. The 2.6 is also slighty more powerful than the 2.5, but crucially has a drive-by-wire setup, which has a better throttle response. :y
