Title: Key Fob micro chip
Post by: rockabilly on 28 October 2012, 10:31:17
Hi to you all,
A very quick question, drove down to Poole yesterday, parked up in car park ,switched engine off pulled out key and found key in lock, and other half in my hand.
Pushed it all back together, tried to start car, no chance engine would not start, don't panic take the fob apart only to find NO micro chip.
Luckily with wife and myself crawling around on hand and knees, the chip was thankfully found, and replaced.could not think what we would of done if it had not started, and stuck up on the third floor of the car park.
Car started and we all started to breath.
Question can you Glue the chip in place and if so with what?

Than you all

Hold the transponder chip in with a small drop of almost any glue.  I've used superglue, bostik, araldite, uhu...  ...anything. But just a tiny drop.
