Title: alternators

Are the alternators across the v6 engine range inter changable, ie 2.6v6 fit a 3.2 v6 etc etc.
                                                                                             & 2.5v6 fit a 3.2.

2.6/3.2 alternators are different to 3.0/2.5, but will fit.

Normally it's just the regulator, so they can be fixed cheaply.

When my alternator failed a few months ago the AA man showed me a chart which indicated variations in pulley sizes.

He didn't seem to be worried about getting a different alternator to fit but he was worried that I might need a different auxiliary belt.
