Title: Crankshaft Position Sensors (Bosch/Siemens) X25XE Code 19
Post by: J.S.B. on 06 November 2012, 12:50:48
Hi Guys,

I have a little issue with code 19 appearing when I use my trusty paperclip.

Currently I have a Siemens sensor on my car. I have had difficulty starting roughly once a year but I have noticed that this year the mpg is a bit lower on average to last year by 4. When I first start it it might run the slightest bit roughly if you've got good hearing but once it is warm then it runs smoothly.

I've read http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/index.php?topic=96562.0 (http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/index.php?topic=96562.0) regarding the two and I just wanted to make sure that there's no chance my car has the wrong sensor fitted. From the article it doesn't sound as if it has as I very very rarely have any problems with the running.

The only other thing is that it has been drenched in oil down that side of the engine could this cause the code 19 problem?

TIA

J

If you have a 19, the engine ECU is not happy with it.
