I know we talk endlessly about bad driving habits and those things that annoy us - a topic that will never go away..... but
I saw what I can only describe as an horrific case of total irresponsibilty the other day. A people carrier (Sharan, I think), with a kid in the front passenger seat. The kid was small enough to need a booster, but did not have one - either that or he was a real short arse. Back seats were available. So the first thing is, that in the event of an accident the seat belt will cut into the neck.
But worse still. Both feet up on the dashboard. So when the airbag pops out as 200 mph or whatever it is, it'll break him in two.
How can a parent possibly allow this and not see the danger? Well, there is no answer really, other than to accept that some people just do not think. Sad.

Indeed, often see women drivers so close to the steering wheel to, i mean stupidly close, what are they thinking?
I saw this the other day, all I can stay is what the fluck was the parent thinking?

Tunnie that comment is bit unfair to short people. My wife 4' 11" and has little choice but to move the seat forward. Like you I am well over 6'
What do you suggest shorter people do ? I have looked into having the airbag disabled but the insurance will become a nightmare.

Sorry the people I refer to are the ones which clearly can sit further back, you can see it in their arms, flat against the wheel.

Probably thinking their feet won't reach the pedals if they don't. ::) ::) ::) Easy to forget if you're 6' 4" ;)

Given that there was no baby in the buggy, what is wrong in securing it against potential theft? those things are not cheap....... :)

and ............. ??? ??? ??? many short 4rses can't reach the pedals without their seat forward, which makes them too close to the airbag should it need to go off. Unless a car has a movable pedal box, there's not much they can do.

There is a difference between seat forward and dangerously forward, seen too many people with their elbows on the steering wheel.
