Title: boot switch not working . . any ideas

Hi guys
             got the new F/L  mig on the drive doing a major spruce up .

The boot will open with fob but not with the dash switch.  when opened with the fob  the orange light comes on   on the switch & goes off when boot is closed  .

have tried it with ignition on & off  . . . still don't work on the switch     . . .  any ideas where to start please  :y

Are you holding switch in for about 5 secs
