That's what I've alwayts liked about Sean Connery, he's the only actor that can get away with playing a Russian submarine captain with a broad Scottish accent  ;D If Mell Gibson had tried that in Braveheart, he would have been hung by the Goolies (a rare Scottish Clan from the Western Isles  ;))
