Earlier today beeen driving the miggy, did a right turn to join a side road? heard a little clunk noise from the back and the traction light flash few times? ok so took off traction control and drove on fine, no noise nothing.
Took a final turning before my road obviously traction being off the tyres spun a bit ( in a straight line), then CLUNK CLUNK CLUNK (definitely metal noise) feels like the rear wants to rip off from the car? weirdly straightline the noise goes down, come to do a U turn or similar and the noise comes back? is this the final chapter in my miggy's Life?? :-\ :-\

The diff has failed in some way?
Turning corners obviously changes the dynamics of the diffs working and one side could be locking in for some reason. I would certainly get under the car and inspect, with cover off diff?

Possibly something caught/broken on the ABS transducers which are right beside the diff ??
Up in the air to look properly is the first course of action without a doubt.

Does your car have an LSD Sam ?

I was hoping someone would say its a cv joint or along those lines if there is any on the rear. Guess il have to take it garage tomorrow to get a good view underneath? But what am i looking for anyway?
And Albs doubt its got LSD as its 3.2 auto Elite!! Thought only manuals had LSD??

People sometimes fit them during the life of the car. Good idea to let a trustworthy garage have a look. :y

Just got back from the garage, had it up on a ramp! nothing looked broken or leaking.(Mr Entwood) Also he did point out Possibly something like a little stone might have got caught and grinded on the ABS transducers as the driver side had a shine to it, and the passengers was black?
Apart from that he said where the drive shaft connects to the diff has minute play to it? would anyone know if thats normal?

Very slight play is to be expected and as long as no oil leaks then it should be fine.
then CLUNK CLUNK CLUNK (definitely metal noise) feels like the rear wants to rip off from the car?
Is the car still doing the above? Maybe it was just wheel spin and one wheel was hopping?

Did drive it around before and after going to the garage, didnt hear the metal clunk noise? but have decided as on that area will get the diff oil changed and fingers crossed it helps. Thanks Rich :y
