Have had a quote to repair the minor N/s wing damage to the MV6.
Wondering how difficult it is to just change the complete wing ?
was told they are just "bolt on" :-\ :-\
Anyone done this job who could feed me their thoughts ?
my main concern is taking the complete xenon h/light unit out ,if that is the case
TIA Al :y

Just bolted on, as well as the obvious bolts on the top, there one or two :-\ behind the front of the front door.
Headlight removal is straight forward, they're only held on with 4 screws - 2 on top & two below the top of the bumper.

Headlight removal is the easy part Al, just 3 bolts and a few plugs to unplug.I removed a wing yesterday, took about 45 minutes altogether. Need to remove headlight, arch liner (or at least bend it out of the way) and undo the fixings at the front of the sill cover so it can be eased out a bit to allow the wing to come out. :y

Bumper and skirt where off when I did mine. Never touched the head light though.
Awkward bolt is by the side repeater. Long extension and access from the wheel arch see to that though.
Easy job really. :y

Any re-alinement/adjustment of headlight required afterwards ? or just bolt /screw back as was? :-\ :-\

Actually headlight and bumper were already off the car so its may well be true that healight doesnt need to come out.If it does it shouldnt need any realignment. Also, you will need to at least undo the torx screws which hold the end of the bumper on that side (might need to loosen or remove more fixings,so a bit of trial & error maybe) to allow you to get at the bolts behind it.
Still a simple enough job though.Just various bolts & small fixings. :y
Need any advice during the job, just ask. :y

I don't remember taking the headlight out, but then it was a while ago. I need my wing swapping after some young sweet kiddy-widdy ran into it, riding on the pavement at 20mph! I was not happy, but found one the right colour so consider myself lucky.
