Post by: ilian55 on 18 November 2012, 22:07:35

The Front crankshaft seal is leaking oil and i need to change it. The car is omega a 2.3 Diesel, and i want to know, how difficult is that ? What's need to be done?

Is it not the same as most other cars? Remove crankshaft pulley, remove the seal with a suitable extraction tool (usually screwdriver) and if it has a separate sleeve that the seal sits on, remove it & replace it the other way round so that the new seal has a new section of sleeve to sit on.

you'll need to remove the fan and fan cowl, and the crankshaft pulley.
