Title: Forum Insurance??
Post by: Darth Loo-knee on 28 April 2008, 22:08:59
I was wondering if we could get an insurance company to give us a good discount for the Forum?

When we had Rangey's you could get discounts if you were in a "Club"...

I was wondering if the Admins would mind if I e-mailed a few insurance companies to ask the question?

Could be a good idea mate, my renewal, with full no claims from Norwich was over 600 quid!
Went with Esure in the end, 220 quid :y

Generally, companies that are good for one person are not so hot with others :(

I have spent around five hours going through the different companies, done the confused.com, gocompare.com's, which a place called Swift was a really good price for us but there excess was around £100 more than the three I have posted which sent there price far higher :-?

I'm with Esure, £278 F. Comp with a small loading as I work in the motor trade and have access to other cars. It's too easy to stay with them, the certificate arrives and they just carry on with the Direct Debits. Went down this year.

I discoverd that M@S was cheaper for fully comp that Elephant were for third party, and we had been with them for years. Galant, not Omega

If you're looking for something a bit off the wall like a club discount, it might be worth talking to a few small independant brokers and see what they can do because the droids in the call centres of the big direct companies aren't likely to be programmed to answer your questions.

Might be worth talking to Aidrian Flux insurers as they specialise in clubs and modified cars.

I have just had a quick nose around on the Autobahn forum, and couldn't find any info on club/Omega specific insurance, which surpised me a little :-?

I would have thought that THEY would have set something up!
