Title: Key and Radio.C/D . passcode

My daughter has just bought a 57 plate VX Astra which doesn,t have the key or radio c/d code in the user manual wallet.

Whats the easiest....and cheapest way  ;D  to get them please...we have VIN etc

Vauxhall  ;) Phone & ask how much for a car pass, they vary in price from £20-odd  :y

Any idea what information VX need before issuing. :y

V5 for ID of your car & a utility bill / etc with your name on it  :y

Agree with Andy B. Ring dealer first to find out what they need, usually just V5 is enough, but can vary.

For this, you should get:
Car's PIN (Immobiliser etc)
Radio code
CD Changer code (if applicable)
Mechanical key number

Note, you do NOT get alloy locking nut key

Actually a result....dealer charged £16=50 + vat for car pass and for a fully programmed new flip key an extra £68 + vat so cheaper than standard Auto lock smith and all will be ready on Monday..car then needs few minutes chat with electronic programmer and job done :y

Sounds very reasonable. I paid the thick end of £200 for another key for her Smart!  :o :o

I have a nagging doubt that a disappointment will come on Monday, but please do keep us all informed :y. I suspect many will be interested in the PN if it works
