My self leveling pump is making more noise than usual and cuts in a few more times than normal , does the pump need topping up or something :-\ Its always made a barking raspy sound when first starting the car up
but then never repeated like it is doing now ???
Could it be the level sensor thingy stuck at the back ?

If the rear is sitting too high, it could be the sensor or the pump not releasing air.
If the rear is sitting normally, most likely an air leak.

Not had a proper look but will do tomorrow , but pump behaved as normal today ???

On re reading... It's noisier? Could be about to fail. :( and if cutting out, and re starting within the normal start up cycle, might be starting to seize. :( :(
Driven though any deep puddles recently? Water ingress perhaps?

The car sits as its always done , only sounded a few times more than normal since this rain we had ... been out in it twice since i posted and its not done it since . Just the normal sound on first start up :-\
Went though a police directed deep flooded road a few days back if that has anything to do with it :-\

Aye , the water must have been over halfway over the wheel height with the bow wave ::) :-[

Good chance then. Not sure how much serious damage will result, as compressed air will produce water in the air anyway. Although the pressure isn't great, so probably wouldn't be significant amounts. :-\
Provided it hasn't hydro locked the small piston and damaged anything it should be fine I would guess. There not too hard to replace either way. :)
