ring round. If collection is involved, you may not get much.

Interior must be worth taking out and if i could engine/box also . Any parts to recommend to strip that will be worth the effort taking off to sell ?

Not sure of the scrap price nowdays steve but the last shell I weighed in for scrap brought me 200 quid.

If you strip it, you should get a good 80 quid each for your 2 cats for starters  ;)

What condition are your alloys / tyres ?
Car got heated leather ?

If you break it, stick a advert on here in the parts section  ;)

As for getting it to a scrappy, just ring a local recovery firm and get them to drag it to the nearest one.
Just bear in mind you will need wheels on it to get it on the truck but you can remove these when you get there  ;)  Cost me 25 quid last time I had one dropped off at the scrappy round here but my scrappy is pretty local.

If you just ring a recovery firm to collect and sell it to them whole, they will take the pish and offer you about 50 quid  ;)

Thanks TG , thats given me some more info so could be worth doing .... Alloys very good , interior very good and heated front and rear apart from drivers seat  ::) Wouldnt take long to get the interior out , guess its not worth the hassle taking engine gearbox out  :-\

Local scrappy told me about a month ago that price for a bare rolling shell would be approx £120,minus £30 if they collect it from me.
I sold him a pair of 3.0 cats the same day and got £90 for the pair. Scrap metal prices have dropped a fair bit since this time last year afaik, although I havent checked any official sources recently.

You should be able to sell a running 3.0 engine fairly easily, I'd of thought...

Although 3yrs back, I had a hell of a job getting rid of Goldie's shell. Virtually everywhere was just offering they would just take it away, so it sat for weeks while I rang around as prices fluctuated. In the end, I got just £30  :'(

I reckoned I could have got a bit more with time, but was conscious of not pissing my neighbours off too much.

How do you monitor the market prices , is there a guide for this or just a case of ringing round every week  :-\

If you have plenty of space in your garage or shed, just remove anything and everything. My experience is that you may be surprised what things do sell or dont sell. ;)

Yeah, often the "big price" items linger, and the silly small clips/trims/vac t pieces are in demand. IME anyway.
