While driving my MV6 1998 manual on Saturday I felt something brake while pressing the clutch pedal, this resulted in the pedal feeling spongy with no bite. I could still drive the car just but the pedal now has no feel and the clutch is slipping when reved.
I have jacked up the car and there are no fluid leaks, the pedal and clutch cylinder are ok the fluid level is correct so I am confused as what could have happened, I can only think part of the clutch plate has broken or the slave cylinder.
Any ideas or advice would be appreciated.

Had a similar problem with my manual car. The clutch would slip badly ,sometimes so bad i couldnt move off, at first dipping the clutch and releasing it would restore drive until i used the clutch again when often the problem would re occure, gradually got worse. Fault was the securing tabs holding the clutch pressure plate to the clutch housing, all but one had broken off. New clutch assbly cured it.
