We have a 6 month old Beagle puppy which unfortunately our 2 & a half year old male dog has never really taken to her, so it is with real sadness we're going to have to find a great home for her.
She's fully up to date with her inoculations & is micro chipped.
Anyone interested?
Will post pics later.

Tbh mate, at 6 months old the dog will be getting to that age when all other dogs will "slap it down" when it gets a bit lairy.
Its just the same as your kids getting a slap off there older brothers / sisters when they cross the line.
Basicly, it the doggy pecking order :)
My sheppard had this problem with other dog from about 6 months until he was 18 months or so then he decieded enough was enough and stood up for himself a bit more.
Are your 2 fighting or is it a case of the oldest puting the youngest in his place ?
Are you displining BOTH dogs in the same way so they BOTH know who is the boss ?
-
Oh yes they know how's boss but they just can't be together at all, we can't walk, feed or have them in the same room as he just goes at her all the time but our female gets on with her like a house on fire & we're just worried that one day something will go to far but he gets on with all other dog's which is why we didn't think there would be no problems

So you have 2 adults (1 bitch / 1 dog) and the 6 month puppy.
Is that right ?
If it was me, i'd be keeping them together in the same room but with a decient distance between them if you know what I mean :-\
Let them eyeball each other. If one starts then slap it down a little then reward the other one with a treat ;)
The naughty one will soon get the message of whats right and wrong when one dog gets a treat and he doesn't.
Always walk them together BUT keep them at a long arms distance apart for a few months. If one starts, use the above method.
For some reason, the male has got it into his head that the pup is a threat to his position.
Had a similar thing with my daft mutt.
4 years ago, a black lab growled at my lad who was rideing his bike at the time.
Daft dog jumped between them and stuck his face into the labs face.
The lab made the mistake of snarling back so daft dog really knocked him about (which wasn't a real problem because as far as I was conserned he was just protecting my lad)
The real problem was that everytime he saw a black lab after that, he dived straight in and had a bloody go at the inocent dog :-[
The only way we cured him was to keep him on a lead when we saw them and push them together until he reliesed that every black dog wasn't a threat ::)
If he started, he got a slap and the other dog got a treat off me :)
It took about 6 months but it worked :y
Cost me a bloody fortune in treats too ::) :'(
I've no problems nowdays.

WE just lost one of our woofers yesterday. Down to a one pooch family now. Can't see us staying at that level but now isn't the right time :'(

Struth Dave....up on the latin :y
Seriously....heart twanged a bit then and nearly overtook sense. Lost our cocker spaniel a while back and wifey would love another dog....but i made my brain overtake my heart on this one, due to current family situations....phew!!!! I do love Beagles though :(

Had to be mate, our Latin Master was a complete and utter bully, conjugate verbs correctly or a ruler round the tab ::) don't think it would be allowed today :( :( forgotten most of it, dropped it ASAP ;D ;D ;D
I know what you mean, told SWMBO who wisely pointed out that our Labs are getting on now 10 and 8 and wouldn't be happy with a youngster interupting their sleep. It wouldn't be fair on them so we will wait until they are no longer with us :'( before getting another dog :y

Is the beagle a male pup and the older dog been "done". That may be why it is attacking as the beagle will smell differant as its to young to be "done"yet. Just a possability...

I recall a staffie being succesfully rehomed via OOF sometime ago, I think a pic or two would help people decide and may twang a few heartstrings
