I have a 2001 2.6 V6,a beauty), since the cold weather The heater does not blow hot air,the fan works but only blows cold.I have taken it to a Main Vauxhall dealer who fitted a new thermostat and replaced the seals on the Oil Cooler as it was leaking.I got it back after a week in the garage only to find its still the same! They are now suggesting that they will look at the flaps controlling the air flow as they are vacuum controlled and can't hear them moving when selected. Is this possible or should we be looking in other directions? They have mentioned it could be the Matrix is blocked but are saving that as a last resort! Please help as I am driving in a coat and wooly hat!! Bigrobfm

same as me mate have a look at my thread http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/index.php?topic=109892.0 I was advised to pull the vac pipe off and try it, you could try the same perhaps although I'm sure some of the more knowledgeable (sp) chaps will be along soon.
Just to add I have found that if I controll the heater manually (I always used to stick it on auto and leave it) and turn the fans down low and just have the heat coming from one place (I have it blowing out on my feet coz as we all know warm air rises) then I can get a bit of heat going after 10 minutes or so.

I'd start with basics. You bled the coolant of all air? Blocked Heater Matrix perhaps?

As Mart280 suggests, check the vac is working first:
Remove the vac from the HBV (which should force coolant through matrix), and see if you can then get hot air. Additionally, check you can send air to feet, face and no just screen.

Have you tried resetting the climate control system? (press off and auto together for approx 5 seconds)
See page 133 for details..... http://images.omegaowners.com/documents/UserGuides/OmegaOct2002.pdf (http://images.omegaowners.com/documents/UserGuides/OmegaOct2002.pdf)

Whats wrong with the heating system in omegas? I'm trying to solve the same prob as you have described, I was instructed by some members to disconnect the vac pipe from the HBV, soon after disconnecting I had 40-45% of heat in my omega but I don't what to do next, have a look at my thread on this forum there is alot posted there by some faithful members, thanks.

I has this problem in my last Omega V6, very little heat from the heater, at around 170K miles. It coincided with water level warning coming on even though it was fine and I never lost any water. I got some improvement by adding radiator descaler in increasing strengths. I suspect it was an airlock somewhere though. Or the Matrix.

Nothing mate - we've had 6 Omegas and all have/had really good heaters. Think your post should read "Whats wrong with the heating system in my omega" ;) Find and sort your problem and you will have hot air :y
