Tis a sad goodbye to all those on OOF that have helped me so greatly these past 4 years or so but my Omega has now been sold
as I continue my journey in to the world of BMW.
I've learnt SO much from you guys and I just hope some of it helps regarding the beast that I now have parked outside.
Many thanks once again.
Chris

Simple reply - you don't have to have a mig to be on. There are many still on who dont.
Stay, help new owner's (like your buyer) join in the banter and even be controversial and get a good conversation going ::)
Better that going over to FB or twitter. :-[
You will miss it :D

Sorry Chris but once you've joined you are not allowed to leave EVER! (you did read small print didn't you?)
A tiny implant has been secretly inserted in your Psyche that niggles at you to log on to OOF if you have the temerity to stay away for any length of time, so you see you have no choice in the matter, you must stay! ;) ;D

Hotel California ;D
Best of luck with the Beemer. Do the indicators work? ;D

@Jamie....They do at the moment. Amazingly everything works so far...the ability to drink petrol when you drive hard is something she's very good at but well worth it to hear the 231 horses especially in steptronic mode .

tv wont work when moving, unless its been tweeked, and the reception is an issue.
But you'll be back when the estate agents dont know whats wrong with it ;)

On that age, TV will be analogue, thus won't work. Ever ;)

Why leave :o I got 2 rovers,1 mig,1 ford conul 375 and use rovers more :D AND am not alone when I say you dont need a mig-just because you got BMW :D :D

Hey, I went there too. After 35k mls in an E39 wagon I can say it's a lot faster. but only 2mpg better. Different bits fall off. Parts are more readily available in Ireland, miss the sunroof.
Pity Opel/Vaux didn't do the common rail 2.5 with a strong autobox.

Thanks for your good wishes. Have to say though, after a weeks worth of ownership, I'm staggered how good the BM is...to be honest, in just about every detail against the Omega...and I've loved both those that I've had.
Pulling only 2500rpm at between 80 and 90 is a HUGE bonus in the quietness and fuel consumption department. The overall high build quality has come as quite a surprise.

Duggs, I have to agree with all of your comments. I have the 525i touring and it is a fantastic car.
I still intend to keep the Omega as long as possible. I suspect it has another year or two left in it :y :)
