Sorry, but I can't resist asking..................... what the hell is a "CAN-BUS"? ??? ???

I have been on crowded buses in the past, where it has felt like a can..............sure it is not that though!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;)

Simply put .. it allows diferent parts of the car to "converse" with other parts, and is used to put lights on, adjust temperatures, tune radios etc etc etc

Pre 96 (from memory) do. Certainly 97 on talk to Tech2.

Yep ALDL connection I believe
16 pin OBDII style plug, as per all Omegas. Just not OBDII compliant

Iirc only the later dbw cars had a bit of can bus 52 plate on?

The only CAN interfaces were:

NCDC to GID/CID (where fitted)
3.2/2.6/2.2 to ABS ECU and Auto box (for the infirm, where fitted)
