Did a check on the above site and all seems OK. But picked up on the Private Plate 1 ??? Which when I checked with the guy I bought the car off said that the guy nearly forgot to take the plate off, it was his son that reminded him. The seller then went on to tell me the plate may have ben worth in excess of £25,000 he was gutted.
It seems the guy would not part with the invoices due to his home address being on them ( I am like that so cant blame him) but at least the service book is filled in.
Apparently the car has been garaged all it's life and has been dealer maintained.
Hehe, and I still havent had it out on the road.........

When I bought the car the Miggy replaces (Nissan QX) the seller gave me all the paperwork, including the application form for his finance from when he bought it ---- had all the details I needed to clone him :o
Resisted the temptation though and returned the sensitive info

It's an awkward situation to be put in these days. I am creating a new folder on the computer for the car and scaning all invoices into it.
When it comes to selling I then have the choice in what to do.
I may just blank out my details leaving the car info on the scan and let him have those.

home address is on the V5 anyway so i dont see why he didnt let you have the invoices
card details is understandable

It's the 1st owner with the private plate that was concerned.
As I take over the registration I dont actually get the details to view when it returns. I have taken down a copy and have his phone number,
But what has to be considered are those details could be passed on to many parties over the following years as the cars get cheaper.
