Just seen on Calendar news that a damning report on Lincoln prison is out,among the faults found was one prisoner kept banged up 9 YEARS after he should have been released!!!Did no one notice?No prison official?The prisoner himself-surely he must have noticed his sentence was dragging a bit-his friends?his family?So no doubt another big compo payout in the offing.Will anyone be held accountable?

I believe that happens when the prisoner is considered unsuitable for release by a board of review.
Sex offenders and those of a violent nature are often included in that category. :y :y
I do not want anyone released too early if they are a danger to the rest of us. Keep them in there
until they die, like Ian Brady :y :y

It seems it would be too dangerous for him to send him home and too dangerous for us to release him................. :-\

I admit I did not catch what he was "in" for.If he's considered a danger for whatever reason then I most certainly agree he should never be released,which is why I believe a life sentence should mean exactly what it says on the tin.This being the case however is it then the fault of the compiler of the report to blast the prison with a poor report?On this issue at least,as I'm not saying the prison is blameless in all areas.

I expect he's had a nicer time in Lincoln Prison than he would have done in Mogadishu. ;)
