Thinking of buying some, but they never seem to get mentioned these days.
Any one on here ever won anything on them?

Yes, 3 times over 8 years, and on £258 of bonds we won £50 a time....but nothing more! Still a single £1 bond purchased in 1965 was one of those that came up trumps! :y
Next time it could be £1,000,000.....I will keep dreaming!! ;D ;D ;D

Nice one. :y :y :y

I've built up about £700 over the years and have had 5 or 6 wins of small amounts. Not a bad return on the investment, and my name's in the hat and you can always get your money back when required.
I buy them for my grandchildren each time there is a family christening. The minimum is currently £100, I think.
It's worth a modest flutter for a monthly chance, IMHO.

The downside is that the interest on the total fund, (which determines the quantity of prizes), can and has been reduced over the years, so there are less prizes now than there used to be.
-
I know someone who reckons he has 25000 bonds and wins regularly.
-
I've got £44 worth of bonds, I think, which I've had for 49 years, I think. I've never won anything.
Or maybe I am a millionaire - I don't think they know where I live and I've lost the holder's certificate. Keep meaning to sort it out, but never remember.
The wife has got 1 (one), I think. She can't remember either. :)

Gerrit sorted. As you say you might be a millionaire.
Allways worth checking. :y

Definitely write and tell them your address.
SWMBO bought a batch of bonds from our new address, having originally bought others from a previous one. When I eventually browsed the NS&I website out of interest imagine our surprise when she found she had won £1000 2 years previously but had never received it. Because she had not advised them separately about the change of address, they had sent the cheque to the old address and eventually given up when the correspondence kept getting returned. The fact that the new bonds had been purchased showing the new address meant absolutely nothing to them.
She eventually got her money, but the procedure to recover lost interest was such a PITA that she didn't bother.
I now check the prize list on the website every month, from about the 3rd.

Yeah, had some as a wedding present 43 years ago, not one a thing. :(
SWMBO bought some about a year ago with a small bonus she got from work, nothing yet from them either. :(
But we always live in hope that we may be :o someday.

Ive had a £100 worth for a year, never won anything, dont really expect too.....But the odds are better than the lottery and you can always have your money back.
IMHO well worth a small flutter.
I believe the word on the street is £10000 is an investment you can expect wins from, and would equal or better the interest in an ordinary account.

Found this as you posted. To start your dream build off
http://bankspower.com/im_Turbo_feb05.cfm
But as I read it I saw the 91/100 Octane figures and the BHP increase.
Does the difference in unleaded and super unleaded ( 91/95 ron I belive) make any difference to performance.
