Hi all, not been on for a while, been working on a few bits and bobs...
On Saturday the 19th, I'll be attending Castle Coombe Circuit where they're holding a 'Performance Car Action Day'.
I managed to get hold of a track ticket through another club (www.rtoc.org) but unfortunatly my Renault5 track car is still in its rebuild state... So I'll be in the MV6, spanking it on track for a while!
If any of you have a spare few hours laying around come join in the fun. In between shhlepping it around the track, i'll be parked up on the RTOC stand, 'reprezentin' in the big barge surrounded by the smell of burning garlic!
I'll steal some words from Castle Coombe's website ( http://www.castlecombecircuit.co.uk/springactionday.htm );
If its road legal, has four wheels and an engine chances are it will be eligible for our Performance Car Action Day. Displays from some of the largest performance clubs, stands with lots of tuning parts and accessories and you have the reason why this day is so popular. Look out for trophies for the best car and best club stand of the show. Open to anyone with a suitable car and current driving licence.
Unfortunatly, I dont believe there's any track passes left, but they'll be loads of trade stands to buy bits and peices and I'm sure there'll be some spandex clad models to drool over - Then obviously ice cream vans for the kids.
Tickets on the gate are 10queens and I believe under16's go for gratis...
If anyone is interested in meeting up my mobiles: 07900 983 441.
Gimme a shout, I dont bite.
Hope to see some of you there, maybe, perhaps?!
Tricky.

a friend of mine is going in his corsa, If I can blag the time off I'll be there as well :)

Nice one Jon - Get involved, make it happen...
Just been on the phone to the ever so unhelpfull people at 'Coombe, they have plenty of space on the track for drifters, which start at 3.
30quid a pop. (typical session in 15mins).
Not sure if i'll be sliding, depends on the weather. If it's moist, i'll be there - Knob in, arse out.

Nobody going, or interested in going, then?

So many comments, so little time ;)
If it was local to me then it would be a defo. a few bald, still inflated tyres on some scrap rims seem too good a temptation to refuse.
Oh well, industrial estate it is for me then! :y

Well, i've sorted out a camera mount for the back, so should get some footage. Lets hope it's dry so I can get some good speeds up, if it's damp, you'll be sure to see lots of sideways antics!!

Well, an eventfull few laps of an incredibly wet Castle Coombe, but i'm back and in one piece. I've got some great in car footage of me hustling others as much as I could, but unfortunatly couldn't touch full throttle as it'd just spin up...
I of course embrased the moments and put on a drift show for the spectators!! Although, I got told off in the sin-bin!
