Hi all. A mate of mine has a Rover 214 on a N reg & she left the boot undone & the battery went flat on the car & now the imobilizer is arsing about:- she's having to put the key in the door lock & turn it so many times one & so many times the other to get the car going when she wants to go any were. Does any one know how to re-sync the imobilizer on the car, she still has the remote for the doors, but it won't work, because it's out of sync.

Hi
My wifes handbook on a V reg says "unlock the car using the key,
then operate the lock button of the hand set at least four times,
the handset is now ready for use".
Hope it works.

I was wondering if to post here or not :-/
Thanx H21
She's tried what your handbook says Glyn, but it's not worked. Thank you Glyn.
Does any one else have an idea?

Are you in the AA, you can ring them and they will tell you how to unlock / reset them. :y

Being the unfortunate victim of this problem a few times, follow this:
With the key in the drivers door, lock the car and then open the car,
then press each button 4 times in a row (as the buttons are flimsy best to give it 5) so open 4(5) times then close 4(5) times.
The proof that it works will be the car central locking will operate.
Come back if it doesnt work :y
